“Your brightness and positive energy always lift the spirits, and your room is one of the sunniest around. You have infected countless students with a genuine love of music.”
“Fiona is an inspirational teacher and I feel very privileged to have her as my violin teacher. Lessons are always suitably challenging and enjoyable. As an older learner, it’s been a great thrill to develop a new skill and I am very grateful for Fiona’s endless patience and encouragement on my musical journey!”
“Finding Fiona Hutchins to teach me the violin was a marvellous stroke of luck! Fiona is warm, generous and refreshingly un-stuffy. She is a virtuoso teacher: responsive, creative and empowering. Our lessons give me such a lift - they are full of laughter and I always come away feeling energised, happy and inspired. Fiona encourages me to really listen, feel and think like a performer. Her technical and psychological insight gently turns ‘mistakes’ into opportunities: she knows exactly the right thing to say to help me overcome my difficulties with ease and guides me to play better than I ever dreamed I could!”
“I have recently started lessons with Fiona after not playing the violin for about 17 years since leaving school. Fiona has been amazing in getting me started again. She is very talented and an amazing teacher. I am really enjoying my lessons and have improved so much already in a short space of time. Fiona has really helped me to get my love back for playing and I am looking forward to many more lessons. I would highly recommend Fiona to anybody thinking of starting up or returning to playing.”
“I had my first violin lessons when I was a child . I absolutely loved them from day 1! I have had quite a few violin teachers over my lifetime ( now middle aged !) and I can hand on my heart honestly say that Fiona is the most highly talented!, inspiring, kind , good humoured and diligent teacher I have ever had ! I adored my first teacher and Fiona tops that ! I have felt happily exhausted after some lessons with her simply because I have wanted to take it all in then and there , however I needn’t worry as she is so very, very patient! Even my husband notices the significant difference in my playing since lessons with Fiona! I can not recommend her highly enough. She is a Norfolk 💎 . I feel blessed to have lessons with her here locally and so happy she has chosen to stay here mostly to teach now rather London.”
